Dog-Friendly Salon Policy
Purpose
We love welcoming our clients and their dogs. This policy sets clear expectations so everyone (people and pups) stays safe, comfortable, and happy in the salon.
Our dog-friendly promise
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the salon at The Hair Club London.
- We aim to keep the salon calm, clean, and relaxing for all clients.
What “well-behaved” means
To be considered well-behaved, your dog must:
- Be friendly and non-aggressive toward people and other dogs
- Be calm and under control at all times
- Not bark excessively, jump up, or roam the salon
- Be house-trained (no accidents indoors)
Rules for bringing your dog
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
- Dogs must stay with you at your station (not in walkways).
- Please bring what your dog needs to stay settled (for example: a small blanket/mat, a chew, or water).
- Please do not bring dogs that are unwell, in season, or likely to feel stressed in a busy environment.
Courtesy to other clients
- Some clients may be nervous around dogs or have allergies. Please be mindful and keep your dog close.
- If another client needs extra space, we may ask you to adjust where you sit, or book at a quieter time.
Safety and hygiene
- For safety, dogs must be kept away from:
- Hot tools
- Chemicals/colour services
- Cables and walkways
- If there is an accident, please tell a team member straight away so we can clean it safely.
If a dog becomes unsettled
If your dog shows signs of stress or disruptive behaviour, our team may ask you to:
- Settle your dog outside for a few minutes, or
- Arrange for someone to collect your dog, or
- Rebook your appointment if needed.
Right to refuse
To protect clients, staff, and other dogs, The Hair Club London reserves the right to refuse entry or ask a dog to leave if we believe it may be unsafe, disruptive, or unhygienic.
